Hongqi gives Chinese Olympic winners a free luxury H9
The Tokyo Olympics ended last weekend. China performed as the second best country at the Games. All athletes in the country together won 38 gold medals. These winners were rewarded extra for this and will receive a free luxury sedan from the Chinese luxury brand Hongqi, according to the Japanese news site ‘Kuruma’.
In total there are 52 cars because some medals were won with a team sport. All in all, the brand gives away 19,229,600 Chinese renminbi (about 2,530,160 euros) to cars.
Not the most expensive Hongqi H9
The athletes do not get the top model of the Hongqi H9, with a 3.0 liter V6, but have to make do with a 2.0 liter four-cylinder. This engine delivers an acceptable 252 hp and 380 Nm of torque.
