Volvo has unveiled its first electric car, the XC40 P8. The model comes more than 400 kilometers away on a battery charge and can pull 1,500 kilos.
The XC40 is equipped with a 78 kWh battery pack and two 150 kW strong electric motors. Volvo mounts one on the front and one on the rear axle, with which the car has four-wheel drive. After fast charging with 150 kW, the car is again 80 percent full in forty minutes. If you can charge at home with 11 kW, then 7.5 hours should be sufficient.
The new XC40 P8 comes standard with all safety systems that Volvo can supply. In addition, the model is equipped with the new Android infotainment system. More details will be announced early 2020. The price has already been released: 59,900 euros.
Volvo unveils its first fully electric model on Wednesday in Los Angeles.
