全球汽车玻璃制造商中国福耀玻璃（美国总部）官方宣布，将在俄亥俄州代顿工厂追加4600万美元（约合3.2亿元人民币）的投资，用于为新建一条生产线购置设备，以向更多汽车公司提供玻璃配件，此外预计这笔投资将为美国增加100个新的就业岗位。
据悉，此次福耀的扩建的厂房位于俄亥俄州被废弃的通用汽车工厂，而该工厂原有10条生产线，总产能为450万套，新建一条生产线的产能约为30万套（总产量将达到480万套）。
福耀玻璃从2014年开始在莫瑞恩市已投资近9亿美元（约合62亿元人民币），具备从玻璃原片、汽车玻璃制造、玻璃包边、设计服务、销售为一体的全流程、全供应链体系。目前工厂共有2300个雇员。福耀玻璃在该市的投资可以解决当地近一半人的就业问题（莫瑞恩市总共人口6000余人），也因此获得了当地政府多达3000多万美元的补贴。
