Weichai Will Produce SUV/MPV, Weichai Power Publishes Enranger Passenger Car Brand

Weichai (Chongqing) Power Co., Ltd. has published its first passenger car brand—Enranger. It is the beginning of Weichai Power passenger car.

“Enranger” brand is the first light-weight brand of Weichai Power. Up to now, Weichai light-weight product will belong to “Enranger”. It means that Weichai Power initials Weichai light-weight segment development.

Enranger Logo, English and Chinese names

The logo of Enranger likes head of bull. It means Weichai owns bull spirit. “Bull” not only means stable, tough and tenacity in China, but also means advance bravely globally.
English name “Enranger” is a combine word. “En” comes from “Engine” and “Energy”. It means power, boost. It is Weichai Power green spirit inherits, but also means Enranger brand power and walk forwards. Meanwhile, “ranger” means “knight, progressive”. And knight is sample of smart as well.

Chinese name Ying Zhi. “Ying” means ability and smart personality, owns power and sharp spirit. “Zhi” means walking forwards, keeping best to lead. Therefore, Ying Zhi means walking forward without fear, exceeding average with outstanding performance, wining with power and exploit with spirit.

As it known, Weichai Power passenger car plant is located in Jaingjin Shuangfu New District of Chongqing City. It takes 1,386 Mu (equal to 924 square km). Plant construction takes around 140 square km. it is expected put into operation in the first half year of 2014. The first phrase will have 100 thousand production capacities.

Weichai Power channeldevelopment focus on “3, 5, and 7”. It means that 3 key markets: Shandong, Chongqing and Sichuan. 5 important markets: Hebei, Henan, Jiangsu, Guangdong and Yunnan. 7 secondary markets: Anhui, Hunan, Guizhou, Liaoning, Shanxi, Shanxi (Differentprovince than another Shanxi) and Zhejiang. In 2013, Weichai passenger car dealer network building has covered national wide.

As it known, Weichai has three types cars research under progress. There are coded S201 small SUV, coded M301 compacted MPV and coded P80 full size upper pickup.

  潍柴汽车布局轻型车市场是潍柴集团战略布局的重要部分。

  首先,在2009年12月,潍柴就通过收购嘉陵川江公司布局轻型车领域了, 并计划发展成为一个具备独立自主研发、生产、销售的轻型车企业。

  其次,2013年10月,潍柴在扬州发布长三角战略,将长三角板块打造成轻型发动机基地、商用车基地和特种车基地,目标是到2018年底,真正成为百亿级的整车、 整机、小功率发动机研发制造基地。

  按照战略规划,到2018年末,长三角板块将完成年产40万台轻型发动机。未来会形成以上海为中心,发挥各个区位优势,打造成潍柴的运营管控、动力与整车匹配研发以及CAE运算中心。
