Do you like the look of Citroen’s new DS 5LS? If your answer is yes, then you’re out of luck. Unless you live in China that is. The new sedan is made in China, and will – so far – only be sold in China. Yet despite its oriental orientation, the car was unveiled at the Carrousel du Louvre, one of Paris’s most iconic landmarks.

在2014年DS 5SL上市后，它的主要竞争对手将是同年国产的奥迪A3三厢版、奔驰CLA以及定位略高的凯迪拉克ATS等。

There will be two petrol engines – the THP 160 and THP 200 – both of which are 1.6-litre four-cylinder engines offered in current DS models. The both have direct fuel injection, twin-scroll turbos and will be fitted with a six-speed automatic transmission. There’s also blind-spot monitoring, reverse parking sensors and a load of safety gadgetry to woo Chinese buyers when the 5LS hits showrooms in March 2014, with pricing yet to be confirmed.

动力方面，DS 5LS将搭载与DS5相同的1.6T发动机，最大输出功率147千瓦，最大扭矩275牛·米，与之搭配的是一款6速手自一体变速器，在国产之后，新车除了1.6T发动机之外，还将搭载一台1.8L发动机，并有5速手动和6速手自一体变速箱相匹配。此外，值得说明的是，新车依然沿用了DS5上的非独立式扭力梁后悬挂。
