The Economic Times (Beijing) – Nissan Motor Co Ltd and its China joint venture sold 90,400 vehicles in China in December, down 24 per cent from a year earlier, the Japanese automaker said on Monday.
That shows an improvement from November when sales declined 29.8 per cent.
Sales came to 1,181,500 for the full year, down 5.3 per cent, it said in a statement.
Nissan makes vehicles in China in partnership with Dongfeng Automobile Group Co.
Nissan Sylphy launched on the China auto market
Two engines available: 1.6 with 125hp or a 1.8 with 136hp. Transmission: 5-speed manual or ‘Xtronic’ CVT. Earlier on we heard Nissan is also working on a 1.5 turbo for the Sylphy, when that engine arrives is yet unknown. Size: 4610/1760/1495, wheelbase is 2700. The old Sylphy’s sales were still strong, Nissan has therefore decided to keep it alive as the ‘Sylphy Classic‘.
