2012: A total of 38,175 buses were sold in China last month, qiche-china.com reported today. 36,317 buses were manufactured over the month. Bus sales and production numbers from January to July totaled 197,718 units and 197,967 units, respectively.
Monthly production numbers for large-sized, medium-sized and light buses totaled 6,216 units, 6,556 units and 23,881 units, respectively. Respective monthly sales results for the three bus types were 6,384 units, 6,233 units and 22,908 units. Zhengzhou-based Yutong Group led the sales charts for large-sized and medium-sized buses, with its monthly sales in the segments totaling 2,327 units and 2,131 units, respectively. Suzhou’s Higer and Amoy’s King Long took the number two and three positions in both charts. As for light buses, King Long placed number one in the rankings, with a total of 8,213 units sold. It was followed by Jiangling and Nanjing Automobile, which sold 4,528 and 3,009 light buses, respectively.
