Well, price is good, car looks OK, a bit mini-style
No idea if it will make some sales numbers.
I agree Mr. Han that SAIC has done a good job with the Rover purchase but it’s the MB acquisition that I am disappointed about. The MG name was once part of the typical American vocabulary. The sporty two seaters that it built were wildly popular in America, in the post WWII years.
If I were to hazard a guess as to why, I would say that perhaps it is because China is more focused on luxury car status, and not motor sports and engine performance.
For $10,000 it can only be a cheap car though.
SAIC’s Roewe 350 sedan and W5 SUV look really good in real, saw them on streets quite impressive cars.
Cheap, cheap, cheap……. looking.
SAIC has failed to capitalize on the world famous brand it inherited.
That faux aluminum trim on facie and side (cheap plastic) looks terrible.
There was so much that SAIC could have done, to perpetuate and embellish the two seater tradition in the West, but never has. It’s a real shame.
And, the shift quadrant looks especially rinky dink…….
